Job summary

Homes for Students is the UK’s leading provider of student accommodation. We have a Maintenance Operative vacancy at our Spring Gardens property in Aberdeen, working 37.5 hours per week (9:00–17:00, Monday to Friday).

You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring statutory compliance and reporting issues promptly. Role requires competence with minimal supervision, good liaison with suppliers/contractors, and a focus on delivering rapid, high-quality service for reported faults and

Qualifications

• Prior maintenance experience in a similar environment or qualified tradesperson
• Knowledge of safe working methods (COSHH, Manual Handling, working at height)
• Awareness of health and safety requirements
• Excellent customer care skills and keeping stakeholders informed
• Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
• Proactive approach with initiative to resolve issues
• Ability to work in a team and be flexible

Responsibilities
