Job summary

Ladysmith Junior School in Exeter is seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support learning across Key Stages in the morning sessions. The role is fixed-term until 31 August 2027, working 16.25 hours per week with 38 weeks per year.

You will work under supervising teachers, implement learning and care programmes, and help create an inclusive environment that enables pupils to access learning and reach their full potential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a similar setting.
• Ability to communicate effectively with adults and children.
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure is required.
• Commitment to safeguarding and pupil welfare.

Grade: STC Grade 3 - NJC Points 8-11 starting salary £10,246 per annum (£27,709 FTE)

As a Teaching Assistant for Ladysmith Junior School in Exeter, you will work under the guidance of teaching staff with an agreed system of supervision, to implement work/care/support programmes in or out of the classroom to enable access to learning for pupils and assist the teachers in the management of pupils.
