Job summary

Oldbury Academy is seeking a part-time Learning Support Assistant (28 hours per week) to work across KS3 and KS4, supporting students identified by the SEND team or external agencies. You will contribute to their academic progress and social development under the guidance of senior staff.

The role involves delivering planned activities, adapting approaches based on student responses, and collaborating with teachers to ensure access to the curriculum and progress toward targets.

Qualifications

• Assist in the educational, personal and social development of designated students under guidance.
• Support students across KS3 and KS4 identified by SEND team or external agencies.
• Deliver planned activities and strategies to help access the curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the educational, personal and social development of designated students.
• Adapt activities to students' responses in line with teacher plans.
• Deliver measurable impact on attainment and well-being.
• Work with colleagues to meet the needs of students and EHCPs where applicable.
