Job summary

Falkirk Council Children's Services seeks a part-time Support for Learning Assistant at Inchlair ELC Centre to provide learning support and continuity for children. The post is 20 hours per week, full year, and may involve working across Falkirk Council settings.

You will supervise children, support those with additional needs, and work in a busy team requiring clear communication. PVG and SSSC registration within specified timeframes are required.

Qualifications

• Must have benchmark qualification or be working towards meeting the qualification condition with SSSC.
• Three years to achieve benchmark qualification via SVQ SCQF Level 6.
• Must register with SSSC within 3 months and gain registration within six months.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children to ensure safety and wellbeing.
• Provide more intensive support for children with additional support needs to implement individual plans.
• Work as part of a busy team; good communication is essential.
• Demonstrate a positive, can-do attitude and flexibility.
• PVG scheme membership is required.
