Job summary

Burton and South Derbyshire College is seeking a Learning Support Assistant for term-time, part-time hours. The role supports learners with additional needs across several departments and includes working 09:00–16:30 during a 36-week academic year.

Applicants should be caring, adaptable and able to build strong relationships with learners and staff. Fixed-term until 31 August 2027, with review for the new academic year.

Responsibilities

• Support learners in Early Years, Performing Arts, Hair and Beauty, Apprenticeships and the Andrew Philips Unit.
• Adhere to safeguarding, dignity and privacy; maintain professional conduct.
• Attend training and work towards required English/Maths levels.
