Job summary

Brooklands Technical College is seeking a part-time Learning Support Assistant to support learners across curriculum areas from entry level to Level 3. You will provide tailored in-class or small-group support and help students improve reading, writing and maths skills, including exam assistance and ongoing progress tracking.

The role emphasizes a deep understanding of the Additional Learning Support function within education, with opportunities for professional development and a supportive work

Qualifications

• Must have English & Maths at Level 2.
• A relevant Learning Support Assistant qualification is highly advantageous, or a willingness to pursue this qualification.
• Strong IT, numeracy, oral, and written communication skills.
• A deep understanding of the Additional Learning Support function and its critical role in education.

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to learners in class, either one-on-one or in small groups, across various curriculum areas from entry level to Level 3.
• Implement effective strategies to assist students with reading, writing, and maths skills.
• Offer support to students during their exams.
• Maintain detailed records of all support activities provided to learners.
