Essex County Council's Adult Community Learning service seeks a Learning Support Assistant to help deliver sessions at ACL Harlow (CM20 1HA) and Ongar Zinc Arts (CM5 0AD). The role is annualised hours, 12.30 per week, with a pattern Mon-Wed and potential additional hours.

You will support tutors, monitor progress, and provide pastoral support to adult learners with diverse needs across courses.

Competenze

• Educated to GCSE level in English and Maths or equivalent.
• Possesses an Level 2 learning support qualification or willingness to undertake within the first year.

Mansioni

• Contribute to assessment of a learner's attitudes, skills and knowledge.
• Support tutors to motivate students and ensure appropriate methods and resources are used.
• Maintain records of learning and attendance under tutor direction.
• Support tutors in delivery of academic and vocational courses.
• Assist learners with challenging behaviour in an educational environment.
• Provide pastoral support to learners within an educational setting.
• Support adult learners with difficulties across all curriculum areas.
• Specific annual targets and objectives defined within the performance framework.
