Job summary

King Edward VI School in Lichfield is seeking a compassionate Learning Hub Mentor to join the Inclusion Team. You will support pupils who may face barriers to learning, helping them engage with school life and re-engage with learning, under the guidance of the Inclusion Team.

The role focuses on building positive relationships, delivering targeted support and coordinating with staff to ensure a coordinated approach to each student’s needs.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate, encourage and inspire students.
• Experience working with young people in education, youth work or mentoring is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with students.
• Provide academic and pastoral support to individuals and small groups.
• Deliver targeted interventions to remove barriers to learning.
• Support students to develop confidence, resilience and independence.
• Liaise with teachers to support learning outside the classroom.
• Monitor progress and encourage positive attitudes to learning.
• Assist reintegration into mainstream lessons and routines.
• Facilitate enrichment opportunities and additional qualifications.
