Job summary

Bedford College Group is seeking a Learning Centre Trainer in Corby for the Learning Centres department. The role focuses on delivering and assessing ICT learning, providing student guidance and supporting progress tracking.

You will conduct assessments, manage inductions, and help maintain accurate records while collaborating with colleagues to meet recruitment and success targets. The role requires flexibility, safeguarding commitment, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Holds ITQ Level 2 or equivalent skills with strong experience using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Publisher and PowerPoint.
• Proven customer-facing experience with excellent verbal and written communication.
• Demonstrates teamwork, inclusivity and respect in line with the College’s values.
• Willing to work evenings and Saturdays and adapt to changing workloads while maintaining professional conduct.
• Committed to safeguarding responsibilities and ongoing skills development in line with health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and assess ICT learning effectively, providing guidance, tutorials and support to help students achieve learning goals.
• Conduct assessments and internal verification; manage student inductions and reviews; maintain accurate records and progress tracking.
• Support administration of student bookings and files using database systems; ensure documentation is up to date and compliant with Learning Centre procedures.
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet recruitment and success targets; attend meetings and training; stay current with developments in Computing and IT.
• Promote a safe, inclusive learning environment by adhering to safeguarding, equality, health and safety policies.
