Job summary

The Niakan Lab at University of Cambridge is seeking a part-time technical assistant to support our early-stage research in human biology and reproduction. The post involves collecting bovine ovaries from an abattoir and returning them to the Cambridge laboratory (rental car provided) for on-site processing.

Working Tue and Wed 9:00–12:30, with on-the-job training, you will follow a strict schedule, demonstrate careful attention to detail, and communicate clearly in English.

Qualifications

• Good general education or equivalent level of practical experience.
• Ability to work independently and follow a strict schedule.
• Good level of oral communication and high standard of English.
• Requires a valid driver's license.
• Training provided on the job.

Responsibilities

• Drive to collect bovine ovaries from an abattoir and return them to the Cambridge lab.
• Dissect discarded animal tissue at the abattoir and prepare samples for transport.
• Work part-time Tue and Wed 9:00–12:30 with independence and reliability.
