Job summary

Cogent Breeding is seeking a Reproduction Services Manager to lead the North & Central UK Reproduction Technician teams, ensuring service delivery and technician development. You will plan rotas, onboard staff, run probation reviews, and liaise with internal teams to ensure readiness for new farm setups. Flexibility for occasional overnight stays is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Reproduction Technicians across North & Central UK, including recruitment, onboarding, training and performance reviews.
• Plan and manage technician rotas ensuring adequate coverage and fair allocation of paid rest days.
• Conduct probation reviews and monitor onboarding progress.
• Identify training needs and coordinate ongoing development for all technicians.
• Ensure accurate herd data is maintained in Uniform and support technicians in its use.
• Liaise with Genetics Consultants and internal teams to ensure technician readiness for new farm setups.
• Maintain high standards of biosecurity, health & safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Be the first point of contact for technicians outside of normal working hours.
• Attend meetings, events and occasional overnight stays as required.

Main Purpose of Role

To lead and manage the North & CentralReproduction Technician teams, ensuring consistent service delivery, operational efficiency, and technician development. The Reproduction Services Manager will be responsible for rota planning, onboarding, training, and performance management, working closely with internal stakeholders to support the delivery of Cogent Breeding's reproduction services.
