Job summary

Silver Lodge Care Home is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support a specialist complex care kitchen. The role is part-time, dayshift, 20 hours per week, with a pay rate of £12.71 per hour. DBS payment, pension, and uniform are provided, along with 5.6 weeks annual leave pro-rated to part-time hours.

As part of a care team, you will assist with meals, ensure dietary needs are met, and help maintain kitchen safety and organisation in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen/food prep experience is desirable.
• Basic understanding of food hygiene and food safety practices.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and menu planning as part of the kitchen team.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and ensure food safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Support with deliveries, storage and kitchen organisation to keep the area safe and well maintained.
