Job summary

Lakelands Lodge Care Home in Fleetwood is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support the delivery of high quality meals in a clean, safe kitchen.

You will assist with food preparation, stock organisation, and deliveries, working closely with the Chef and team to keep the kitchen running smoothly. This role offers a consistent routine and opportunities to develop experience within a supportive environment, with weekend work on alternate weekends.

Qualifications

• A positive and reliable approach.
• Good organisation and attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous kitchen experience is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of high quality meals in a clean, safe kitchen.
• Assist with food preparation, maintain cleanliness and storage.
• Support with deliveries, stock organisation and general duties.
• Work closely with the Chef and wider team to ensure smooth kitchen operation.
• Contribute to a consistent routine and gain experience in a supportive environment.
