Job summary

SWRAC is seeking a dedicated Job Coach to support Southport centre learners with pre-placement planning and ongoing placement support. You will collaborate with learners, centre staff and local employers to arrange placements and provide practical guidance in a classroom setting.

Preference is given to those with SEND experience, teaching or coaching background, and a valid driving licence. The role is based in Southport with zero hours contract terms and is ideal for flexible, community-focused

Qualifications

Experience working with young adults with SEND or similar populations.
Experience in teaching, tutoring, or coaching roles.
Experience of working in different business environments is desirable.
A valid driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

Work with learners in a classroom setting to establish rapport and support needs.
Attend work placement interviews with learners and support preparation for interviews.
Engage with employers to establish learner work placement roles and responsibilities.
Carry out Health and Safety checks for work placements as required.
Assist learners with travel training to travel between home and work placement.
Assist with workwear purchases if required.
Plan pre-work placement visits with learners and employers.
Encourage good personal hygiene and presentation.
Liaise with parents, carers and external agencies to support learners.
