Job summary

Distinct Recruitment is seeking an Interim Financial Accountant to join a Nottingham-based international business. The role will cover global payroll, tax submissions, sales invoice analysis and day-to-day financial accounting, with a November start and a 14-month contract.

The successful candidate will be on-site one day per week, possess Qualified Accountant credentials, strong Excel skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently, flagging issues from day one.

Interim Financial Accountant | 14‑month contract | Nottingham (one day per week) | November Start | £60K plus benefits

We are looking for a Financial Accountant who will take on a broad finance role covering global payroll, tax submissions, sales invoice analysis, and day-to-day financial accounting.

This is a role for someone who is switched on, works well independently, and is comfortable flagging issues rather than leaving them unaddressed. You will be part of a Nottingham finance team, working one day on-site.

You will carry out day-to-day financial accounting, including month-end, proactively raising queries and flagging discrepancies. You can manage tax submissions across all regions, delivering to a monthly, quarterly, and annual cadence. In addition, you will oversee payroll, checking outputs and correcting errors.

Ideally, you will be a Qualified Accountant with solid financial accounting experience. You will have strong Excel skills, excellent attention to detail, and be a self-starter who can work independently and take ownership.
