Job summary

bpha is seeking an Independent Living Cleaner in Daventry to maintain high cleanliness standards across schemes. The role is part-time (6 hours/week) and on-site, with duties covering communal areas, safety compliance, and stock management.

You'll work with a supportive team to ensure safe, pleasant living environments for residents. The ideal candidate has cleaning experience, understands needs of older or vulnerable residents, can work independently, and is willing to travel between schemes.

Qualifications

• Experience of carrying out cleaning duties.
• Understands needs of older or vulnerable people with a caring approach.
• Able to work independently while part of a wider team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality cleaning across communal areas, including guest rooms and internal windows.
• Carry out cleaning safely and in line with health and safety COSHH requirements.
• Perform routine cleaning inspections to maintain standards.
• Monitor stock levels and order supplies as needed.
• Work with colleagues to report repairs or safety concerns.
• Undertake risk assessments while cleaning to ensure safety.
• Support resident engagement and gather feedback on services.
• Assist with improvement actions from feedback and inspections.
• Provide cover across schemes during colleagues' absences.
• Support induction and training of new team members.
