Sunderland College is seeking an Inclusion Mentor in the Alternative Provision at Sunderland City Campus to support learners with SEND. You will collaborate with curriculum teams to create and implement personalised strategies that break learning barriers and foster independence, helping students achieve their aspirations.

The role is permanent, part-time (24 hours/week, 35 weeks/year) with pro rata pay and a focus on inclusive learning and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting individuals with SEND or learning difficulties.
• Knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and Equality Act.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide learning mentor support to students on mainstream or discrete courses.
• Assist in assessments, monitoring and review of support strategies.
• Devise and implement support plans with senior staff.
• Identify problems early and communicate to teaching staff.
