Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council is inviting applications for a Housing Officer role in Hamilton. The post supports the Housing Services team with homelessness, allocations, estate management and rent recovery, requiring strong IT and prioritisation skills and the ability to liaise with external agencies.

The role is part-time (17.5 hours weekly), based at Brandon Gate, Hamilton, with a focus on delivering a high-quality housing service to customers and communities.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing-related environment and current issues in homelessness, allocations, estate management, rent recovery and anti-social behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a wide range of housing services to customers.
• Understand and apply legislation related to homelessness, allocations and estate management.
• Organise and prioritise workload to deliver a high-quality service.
• Liaise effectively with a variety of partner agencies.
