Job summary

Sodexo in Tidworth is hiring a Housekeeper to maintain clean, welcoming environments across our facilities. You will carry out general cleaning, handle laundry preparation, and ensure cabins are ready for immediate occupation.

The role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work well in a team and independently. The position offers a 25-hour week, 5 days over 7, with a pay of £12.71 per hour, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is desirable.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Experience in a military environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general housekeeping duties, including cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, showers and toilets, making beds, hoovering and mopping floors.
• Prepare laundry for collection by the laundrette, check returned items and report any missing items or discrepancies.
• Ensure cabins are fully cleaned and ready for immediate occupation, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation.
• Maintain cleaning records and complete required checks, including reporting maintenance issues, defects, accidents or faulty equipment.
• Monitor cleaning supplies, replenish stock as required and ensure equipment and materials are used safely and correctly.
• Work as part of a team, support colleagues where required, maintain excellent customer service and follow all health and safety procedures, including wearing the appropriate uniform and PPE.
