Job summary

Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is seeking two part-time Catering Grade Band 2 posts (20 hours per week) at Princess of Wales Hospital, Bridgend. The roles involve food prep, service to wards, and cash handling, with weekend and bank holiday hours as required.

We welcome Welsh or English speakers and support a flexible, team-based working environment within NHS Wales. Salary is £26,300 per annum pro rata, with benefits typical of CTM.

Qualifications

• Good standard of general education (English and Maths Level 2).
• Knowledge of health and safety at work including Food Safety Act 1990, HACCP and COSHH.
• Previous catering experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food and beverages in line with policy and procedures.
• Assist ward nursing staff with meal service on the ward.
• Serve beverages at ward level according to patient requests.
• Provide professional service to staff and customers in the dining areas.
• Operate the cash register accurately.
• Ensure catering areas are cleaned per daily/weekly schedules.
• May be called outside normal hours for contingency work.
