Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) North Wales is seeking a Part-time Catering Assistant (Band 2) to join the patient and staff catering team at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd. The role requires flexible 21 hours per week on a 7.30 to 3.00 rota over 3 days, with weekend work and enhanced pay for weekend/bank holiday hours.

You should have good communication skills, catering experience, and a current Level 2 food hygiene certificate. Welsh language skills are desirable.

Qualifications

• You must have good communication skills and be able to work within a kitchen and serve food at ward level.
• You will hold a current Level 2 food hygiene certificate or be willing to work towards this qualification.
• Catering experience is essential for this post.
• The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide catering services to patients and staff within the Trust.
• Share learned best practices with colleagues as services change over time.
• Work flexible shifts, including weekends, with pay rate increases for weekend and bank holiday hours.
