Job summary

Bath College is seeking a qualified lecturer to support the department's aim of high-quality learning and teaching within the Adult Skills Health provision. You will help develop, organise and deliver the curriculum, manage and review programmes, and support learners to achieve at or above required levels.

The role is flexible: 3 days per week (must include Friday), 8:30 am–5:00 pm with 1 hour lunch, some evening sessions. Salary L5+ (£32,186.70–£40,015.50).

Qualifications

• Relevant Qualification in Health.
• Experience of working in a care or clinical setting (i.e. hospital ward; nursing; medical; care home; nursing home; domiciliary care).
• Teaching Qualification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of teaching and learning and monitor assessment processes in line with awarding body requirements.
• Provide induction, initial assessment, advice and guidance to learners.
• Deliver departmental requirements of core and additional programmes with a clinical health focus.
• Produce schemes of work, lesson plans, assessment plans, learning materials and related activities.
• Coordinate and maintain records of formative and summative assessments.
• Communicate external examination entry and timetable arrangements to staff and students, and handle queries.
