Job summary

Fresh Start Waste Services is seeking a Health, Safety & Compliance Advisor to support managers across the business. The role is 22.5 hours per week, ideally 4.5 hours daily, Monday to Friday, with travel between sites and office-based work in Manchester.

You will provide practical H&S guidance, promote a positive safety culture, and help maintain ISO management systems. NEBOSH cert and UK driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent required.
• Experience providing practical H&S support within an operational environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills and ability to write clear reports.

Responsibilities

• Providing practical Health & Safety and compliance advice to managers
• Carrying out planned Health & Safety inspections and internal compliance audits
• Coordinating workplace inspections across company sites
• Supporting investigations into accidents, near misses and environmental incidents
• Maintaining Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 45001/14001)
• Producing clear reports, statistics and KPI information and reporting to management
