Job summary

Sainsbury's Hoddesdon Store is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to join our team on a part-time fixed-term basis. You will drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van, deliver groceries to customers, and ensure orders are accurate and on time. Shifts are available with flexible windows, and the contract ends on 2 January 2027.

You’ll need a full UK/EU driving licence for 12+ months with up to 6 points, a driving risk assessment, and Right to Work in the UK. Training and safety checks are provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver groceries in a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to customers on time and in good condition.
• Carry out checks to ensure the van is roadworthy, clean and organised, and customer orders are secure.
• Follow planned routes and drive safely in varying locations and weather conditions.
• Move containers up to 15kg and handle steps or lifts when delivering to properties.
• Communicate with customers about delays or changes to orders; assist in-store tasks when not delivering.
