Job summary

Sainsbury’s Limited is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver for Kempston Store in Bedford. This part‑time role (12 hours per week) requires driving a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to deliver groceries to customers, with shifts planned in advance.

Permanent contract available; you’ll be on the road and in-store as needed. You must have a valid UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with up to 6 points and the right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Full UK/EU driving licence held for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points
• Right to Work eligibility in the UK

Responsibilities

• Deliver groceries in a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van on time and in good condition
• Check vehicle roadworthiness and keep it clean and organised
• Follow planned routes and drive safely in varying conditions
• Communicate delays or issues clearly with customers
• Support store duties when not delivering
• Handle loads up to 15 kg and manage steps or longer walks as needed
