Sainsbury's Limited is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver for Warren Heath Store in Ipswich. You will deliver groceries in a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van, ensuring orders reach customers on time and in good condition, while maintaining van readiness and safety checks.

The role is part-time (18 hours per week) with a fixed-term contract ending 2 January 2027. You will join a team focused on friendly, responsive service and flexible shift patterns to meet customer demand.

Qualifications

• Friendly and welcoming with enthusiasm for helping customers.
• Comfortable driving larger vehicles in varied locations.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, physical environment and move goods up to 15kg.
• Can use initiative, solve problems and make safe decisions on the road.
• Enjoys working independently and as part of the store team.

Responsibilities

• Being the face of Sainsbury’s at each doorstep with friendly service.
• Drive a 3.5 tonne refrigerated van to deliver groceries on time.
• Carry out vehicle checks, ensure safety and secure shopping for customers.
• Follow planned routes and drive safely in different conditions.
• Communicate delays or changes to customers and handle queries.
• Assist across the store when not delivering.
