JOB DESCRIPTION: Freelance Graphic Designer (Part-Time)

Job Role: In-House Graphic Designer
Reporting to: Marketing Director (with day-to-day guidance from the Marketing Manager)
Location: King’s Cross, London
Salary: £ depends on experience
A fantastic opportunity has opened for a creative, detail-driven junior to mid-weight Graphic Designer to join the Town Hall team approximately two to three days a week. Working closely with the Marketing Manager and Director, this freelance role will focus on producing a range of high-quality visual assets to support brand, event, membership and cultural campaign activity.
Located in the heart of King’s Cross’ Knowledge Quarter, and launching in several phases over the next year, Town Hall is a state-of-the-art cultural and events destination designed to inspire connection, creativity, and forward-thinking conversations. With three beautifully designed event spaces and a growing community of partners and members, we’re building a strong brand identity rooted in innovation, style, and substance.
This role is ideal for a designer who is highly organised, brand-focused and excited to contribute creatively across multiple touchpoints—from social content and campaign graphics to pitch decks, printed materials and digital templates.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Content Creation
●Design visual assets for social media, newsletters, pitch decks, printed materials, internal documents, and membership communications.
●Create templates and toolkits that enable consistent, efficient rollout of branded materials.
●Contribute design support across key seasonal and cultural campaigns, including events and grassroots initiatives.
●Print-ready design and overseeing print suppliers.
Brand & Asset Management
●Maintain and evolve a consistent visual identity across all platforms and touchpoints.
●Help manage and organise a growing library of visual assets, including photography, artwork, templates, and design files.
●Prepare assets for print and digital production as needed.
●Work alongside the Marketing Manager and freelance creatives to bring campaigns to life.
●Participate in brainstorming sessions and creative planning for upcoming events, cultural programmes, and brand initiatives.
●Support cross-channel content delivery with timely, well-executed design outputs.
●Production cost control and budget management.
●Creative input in brand campaigns, including OOH advertising and digital.

Key Skills & Experience● Junior - mid designer, 3+ yr of experience in a graphic design role, ideally within a creative, cultural, or lifestyle-focused brand or agency.
●Strong design skills with excellent attention to detail across print and digital, with a sharp eye for typography, layout, and detail.
●Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop essential).
●Familiarity with Canva, HTML, Mailchimp, and basic CMS platforms is a plus.
●Experience designing for social media, newsletters, event collateral, and branded documents.
●Comfortable interpreting and evolving brand guidelines to produce consistent, high-impact visuals.
●Collaborative mindset and ability to take initiative, respond to feedback, and work to tight deadlines.
●Interest in design, events, culture, hospitality, or community-led initiatives is highly desirable.
●Requirement to see previous portfolio.
