Job summary

Practice Plus Group's Health in Justice service is seeking a General Practitioner to deliver clinics at HMP YOI Werrington, a male juvenile prison. The role focuses on minor acute care, minor injuries and long-term conditions with prescribing and regular reviews.

It is a part-time post at three clinics per week with some flexibility on session times. GMC registration is required, with experience in community general practice and a willingness to work with patients who have a history of substance

Qualifications

• Must be GMC registered and on the GP Performers List
• Experience as a GP in community general practice
• Willingness to work with patients with a history of substance misuse

Responsibilities

• Deliver GP clinics covering minor acute needs, minor injuries and long-term conditions
• Prescribe, review medications and manage repeat prescriptions
• Provide clinical assessment, diagnosis and management decisions
• Provide medical leadership and contribute to governance and audits
• Collaborate with the wider healthcare team and participate in case reviews
