Job summary

Ryan, LLC is seeking a dynamic GP Assistant for a 6 month temporary contract, 14.5 hours per week, based across Bridgedale PCN sites in Preston. You will support GP practices, MDT, patients and carers within the primary care network.

The role involves administrative and clinical tasks prior to/after patient consultations, arranging referrals, tests, and follow-ups, taking histories, basic measurements, immunisations support, and liaison with external agencies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience of working with healthcare professionals.
• Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary setting where influence and negotiation is required.
• Experience of coordinating and liaising with multiple stakeholders to meet outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assist GP and MDT across PCN sites to support patient care.
• Prepare patients prior to consultations, take brief histories and basic readings.
• Arrange referrals, tests and follow-up appointments; signpost to clinical colleagues as needed.
• Support immunisations, wound care and discharge processes where appropriate.
