Job summary

School Talent is seeking an Assistant Director of Golf for St Leonards, St Andrews. The role is 0.5 FTE (18.75–20 hours per week) with some flexibility to meet programme requirements, including occasional evenings and weekends.

The post holder will lead day-to-day delivery of the golf programme, support the Director of Golf, manage recruitment and family communications, and oversee travel, competitions and pupil welfare within school procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in sports administration, event coordination or programme management.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience within golf or elite sport.

Responsibilities

• Lead and own the day-to-day delivery of the St Leonards Golf Programme, supporting the Director of Golf in delivering a high-quality performance, participation and development pathway for pupils.
• Manage recruitment activity, admissions liaison, parent communication and pupil experience.
• Coordinate coaching schedules and ensure sessions are delivered effectively in line with the director's philosophy.
• Oversee travel, fixtures, competitions and events for golf programme while safeguarding and welfare duties are followed.
• Ensure facilities, communications and partnerships are maintained to support programme delivery.
