Job summary

Sussex Primary Care Limited is seeking a Practice Nurse to support a busy General Practice Surgery in Brighton. The role is 15 hours per week, across Wednesday and Thursday, with clinical duties including wound care, immunisations, venepuncture and chronic disease management.

You will work within the practice team to deliver evidence-based care, maintain records, and participate in meetings while adhering to local policies and the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse qualified and registered with the NMC.
• Experience in general practice or primary care settings preferred.
• Specialist courses relevant to primary care listed above.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based nursing care for patients and long-term conditions.
• Perform routine clinical tasks (venepuncture, injections, wound care, immunisations).
• Maintain accurate records and participate in clinical meetings.
• Support QoF programmes and income generation for the practice.
• Supervise HCAs and manage stock of vaccines and clinical supplies.
• Communicate effectively with patients, carers and the wider team.

Education

Registered Nurse

General Practice or other relevant experience

Specialist courses appropriate to primary care (CHD, diabetes, family planning, asthma/COPD care, infection control)
