Co-op is seeking a Funeral Service Crew member at Southport to support families in arranging meaningful farewells. You will handle transportation, preparation, and personal care of the deceased with professionalism and respect.

Qualifications

• The candidate must be able to drive a vehicle with a full UK licence.
• Role involves physical tasks such as lifting coffins and moving equipment.
• Comfort with handling the deceased as part of the duties.
• Ability to use client management applications and keep records up to date.

Responsibilities

• Collect the deceased from various locations in a professional, empathetic manner.
• Bear coffins and drive funeral vehicles on the day of the funeral.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and vehicles.
• Prepare coffins and engrave name plates.
• Prepare the deceased for viewings and funerals.
• Keep client information updated in management systems.
