Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Functional Skills Tutor to provide personalised 1:1 tuition to Primary and Secondary learners across Stafford.

Deliver engaging tuition in English and/or Maths, plan lessons to suit each learner, and adapt for SEN. Candidates should have at least 1 year of UK teaching or tutoring experience, a strong Functional Skills background, and be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS. Part-time hours weekdays during school terms.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year's UK teaching or tutoring experience.
Experience working with primary and secondary-aged learners.
SEN experience.
Strong knowledge of Functional Skills English and/or Maths.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

Deliver engaging 1:1 Functional Skills tuition in English and/or Maths.
Plan lessons according to each child's individual learning needs and abilities.
Adapt lessons to support different learning styles, including pupils with SEN.
Help learners build confidence and improve their academic progress.
Monitor progress and provide regular feedback.
