Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a Functional Skills Tutor to deliver personalised 1:1 tuition for primary and secondary learners in Manchester. The role emphasises targeted support in English and/or Maths, with lessons tailored to individual needs and learning styles.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of UK teaching or tutoring experience, with SEN experience and a valid Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one. Part-time weekday hours with pay between £25-£30 per hour, paid weekly.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year's UK teaching or tutoring experience.
• Experience working with Primary and Secondary-aged learners.
• SEN experience.
• Strong knowledge of Functional Skills English and/or Maths.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging 1:1 Functional Skills tuition in English and/or Maths.
• Plan lessons according to each child's individual learning needs and abilities.
• Adapt lessons to suit different learning styles, including pupils with SEN.
• Help learners build confidence and improve their academic progress.
• Monitor progress and provide regular feedback.
