Novus, the prison education provider and part of the LTE Group, seeks a dedicated Functional Skills Maths Teacher for a permanent, part-time post (12 hours weekly) at HMP Hewell, Redditch. Qualifications

• Teaching qualification and a relevant subject specialist qualification required.
• Commit to obtain outstanding qualification within 12 months if not held.
• Strong understanding of Functional Skills Maths teaching approaches.
• Minimum Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy.
• Ability to create engaging learning environments and meet targets.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Functional Skills Maths teaching sessions.
• Develop practical maths skills with focus on real-life contexts.
• Assess progress, give feedback and keep records.
• Create inclusive, motivating learning environments.
• Collaborate with colleagues to promote progression and employability.
