Job summary

Henderson Group is seeking a Part-time Production Assistant in Garvagh to support a fast-paced kitchen environment. You will handle goods-in, stock rotation, and label printing while assisting chefs with ingredient prep and stock control.

The role offers a 24-hour week with flexible shifts and a comprehensive benefits package. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and accurate labeling.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a catering or hospitality kitchen.
• Flair and enthusiasm for cooking with fresh quality ingredients.
• Ability to deliver at pace while maintaining high food quality.

Responsibilities

• Receive goods-in ensuring all legislative requirements, quality specification and shelf life of products is adhered to.
• Ensure effective stock rotation practices are in place.
• Assist Chef & Head Chef in the preparation of ingredients as required.
• Assist with stock control procedures and ordering.
• Keep the machines and production areas clean and tidy.
• Ensure all packaging and other items are stored correctly.
• Accurately record any damages or wastage.
• Prepare, clean, adjust and maintain printing equipment.
• Ensure accurate information is printed on the label (use by date, price, etc) and they are produced to a high standard and in line with food labelling regulations.
• Ensure enough labels are printed to cover the production planned for the day.
• Any other duties as required for the role.
