Job summary

The Part-Time Finance People is seeking a qualified Financial Controller to lead the finance function for growing SMEs on a part-time basis. The role is two days per week, onsite in Leeds, with a self-employed arrangement and a rate of £35 per hour.

You will drive management accounts, cashflow, budgeting, and financial controls, including Xero-based processes and a small team leadership. Ideal candidates are ACCA/CIMA/ACMA/FCCA/ICAEW or QBE with 5+ years’ experience, and must be ready to start

Qualifications

• Qualified and experienced Financial Controller with SME experience.
• Able to start quickly on a part-time, self-employed basis with 2 days per week.
• Experience leading a small finance team and driving controls.
• Proficient in Xero and Excel; able to present financial information to non-financial leaders.
• A minimum of 2 years UK-based experience as a Financial Controller is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the finance function for growing SMEs on a part-time basis.
• Oversee budgeting, cashflow forecasting and profit forecasting.
• Manage management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Implement and monitor financial controls in a small team setup.
