Job summary

The Part-Time Finance People in Greater Manchester are seeking a hands-on Financial Controller (Part-Time, Self-Employed) to partner with owner-managed SMEs, delivering robust financial leadership onsite.

You'll lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and board-ready reports, translate numbers into actions, strengthen controls, and drive profitability. This client-facing role requires a minimum two days per week on-site.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified, or qualified by experience.
• Minimum 3 years UK-based experience as Financial Controller.
• Experience supporting SMEs and owner-managed businesses.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and board packs.
• Provide KPI reporting and performance analysis.
• Lead budgeting and annual planning; rolling forecasts.
• Build strong client relationships and act as finance partner.
• Improve financial controls and reporting processes.
