Job summary

Unity Resourcing Ltd is assisting a Harrogate client in finding a part-time Finance Manager. The role covers day-to-day finance operations, maintaining records and ensuring timely financial management.

It is 3 days per week with flexible days and hours, offering a pro rata salary of £50k–£55k and a comprehensive benefits package. The successful candidate will oversee invoicing, payments, budgeting and forecasting, while collaborating with the director and team to support strategic financial

Qualifications

• ACCA or CIMA or equivalent certification.
• Experience as Finance Manager managing budgets and forecasts.
• Strong reporting skills and ability to present to the Director.
• Experience in professional services advantageous.
• Advanced Xero account software experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue client invoices via Xero and portals.
• Monitor and chase outstanding payments.
• Process and pay supplier and consultant invoices.
• Request and manage purchase orders.
• Prepare and monitor budgets and expenditure.
• Provide regular financial forecasts and cash flow projections.
• Monitor expenditure and variances against budgets.
• Maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist with cash flow management and bi-weekly reporting to MD.
• Handle employee expenses per policy.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers and team on financial matters.
• Support VAT, payroll and year-end accounts with the practice accountant.
