Job summary

The Part-Time Finance People are seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to work on a part-time, self-employed basis in Merseyside and surrounding areas. You will own day-to-day bookkeeping, supporting the wider finance team and driving accuracy and commercial impact.

Key tasks include VAT returns, credit control, inventory oversight and timely month-end processes, with a proactive, hands-on approach and independence required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Bookkeeper.
• Strong experience preparing and submitting VAT returns.
• Excellent credit control skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Proactive, hands-on approach and supports Financial Controller.

Responsibilities

• Manage all day-to-day bookkeeping activities.

Part-Time Senior Bookkeeper – Merseyside and surrounding areas

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to work with our clients on a part-time, self-employed basis.

You’ll take ownership of the day-to-day bookkeeping function while providing valuable support to the wider finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in accuracy and wants to make a genuine commercial impact.

Alongside the core bookkeeping responsibilities, you’ll help improve financial processes, strengthen controls and drive greater efficiency, accuracy and visibility across the finance function.

Key Responsibilities
