The Part-Time Finance People is seeking a Part-Time Senior Bookkeeper to work with clients across Merseyside and surrounding areas. You will manage day-to-day bookkeeping on a self-employed basis and support the finance team.

This role emphasizes accuracy and commercial impact; responsibilities include VAT returns, credit control, bank reconciliations, and assisting the Financial Controller. Part-time, two days per week, on-site, with a £25/hour rate.

Formación

• Proven experience as a Senior Bookkeeper
• Strong experience preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Excellent credit control skills
• The ability to work independently and take ownership
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• A proactive, hands-on approach
• The ability to work effectively alongside and support the Financial Controller

About the Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to work with our clients on a part-time, self-employed basis.

You’ll take ownership of the day-to-day bookkeeping function while providing valuable support to the wider finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in accuracy and wants to make a genuine commercial impact.

Alongside the core bookkeeping responsibilities, you’ll help improve financial processes, strengthen controls and drive greater efficiency, accuracy and visibility across the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all day-to-day bookkeeping activities
