Job summary

The Part-Time Finance People is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to work part-time on a self-employed basis in Greater Manchester and surrounding areas. You will own day-to-day bookkeeping, support the finance team, and drive improvements in processes and controls.

Key duties include VAT submissions, bank reconciliations, ledgers management, and assisting the Financial Controller. This role offers autonomy, flexibility and direct impact on client profitability.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Bookkeeper.
• Strong experience preparing and submitting VAT returns.
• Excellent credit control skills.

Responsibilities

Part‑Time Senior Bookkeeper – Greater Manchester and surrounding areas

About the Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to work with our clients on a part-time, self‑employed basis.

You’ll take ownership of the day-to-day bookkeeping function while providing valuable support to the wider finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in accuracy and wants to make a genuine commercial impact.

Alongside the core bookkeeping responsibilities, you’ll help improve financial processes, strengthen controls and drive greater efficiency, accuracy and visibility across the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all day-to-day bookkeeping activities

• Prepare and submit VAT returns

• Manage credit control and cash collection
