Job summary

EA First seeks a Part Time Finance Manager in Birmingham to shape finance support for a growing SME. You will report to the MD, join the Senior Management Group and drive strategic finance initiatives.

The role combines hands-on accounting with commercial and people-focused responsibilities, including HR support, budgeting and management reporting. You will influence decisions and own a broad finance remit in a flexible, part-time setup.

Qualifications

• ACCA/CIMA qualification or studying is preferred.
• AAT Level 4 is a minimum requirement.
• Experience in SMEs is valuable; HR experience advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Produce monthly management accounts and provide analysis to Directors and Senior Management Group.
• Own budgeting process and provide commentary on performance and variances.
• Lead and support accounts team, improve processes and workload allocation.
• Prepare payroll information for external payroll provider and oversee pensions, expenses, company cards, and admin.
• Collaborate with operations on stock valuation, variances and obsolete stock.
• Assist in implementing improved finance and budgeting tools.
• Provide HR support to managers and assist with recruitment, onboarding, attendance and holidays.
• Manage disciplinary and grievance processes with external support if needed.
