Job summary

Marks Sattin seeks a Finance Manager in Cheltenham for a growing SME following a recent acquisition. This part-time position (22 hours per week) is based in the office and offers variety across day-to-day finance tasks and administration.

You will oversee banking, AP, payroll via an external provider and month-end reporting in a supportive, hands-on environment. Ideal candidates will have Sage 50 Cloud experience, strong Excel skills, and solid bookkeeping and payroll knowledge within a busy SME

Qualifications

• Experience with Sage 50 Cloud and payroll processing that supports a small/medium enterprise.
• Strong Excel skills and data accuracy for reporting and reconciliations.
• Solid bookkeeping and month-end accounting experience, including payroll integration.
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail in a busy SME environment.
• Able to work independently and flexibly across varied finance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Daily banking, reconciliations and supplier payments.
• Process non-stock supplier invoices and manage the purchase ledger.
• Payroll administration via external payroll provider, including pensions, commissions, overtime and HMRC payments.
• Quarterly VAT returns and liaison with external accountants.
• Month-end reporting including bank reconciliations, journals, P&L, Balance Sheet and Trial Balance reports.
• Managing employee expenses, holiday records and providing occasional office support.
