Job summary

SI Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Finance Coordinator to join a Middlesbrough-based team on a part-time, permanent basis. You will take ownership of transactional finance, month-end accounting, and cash flow across two group companies, reporting to the Finance Manager.

The role involves managing ledgers, preparing management accounts, and supporting year-end processes with a strong emphasis on accuracy and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in finance or accounting role with transactional and month-end accounting.
• Sound understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with sales ledger, purchase ledger, accruals, prepayments and fixed assets.

Responsibilities

• Manage sales and purchase ledger functions across two companies.
• Process and reconcile invoices, credit notes and payments.
• Raise customer invoices and monitor debt collection.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and prepare accrual and prepayment schedules.
• Assist with WIP reporting and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting schedules.
• Produce overhead cost and variance reports.
• Monitor and report on cash flow.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support month-end and year-end processes.
• Provide financial information and analysis to support decision-making.
• Liaise with operational teams and support external auditors and accountants.
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and reporting.
