Job summary

Hyra in Middlesbrough is seeking an experienced Finance Coordinator to join a busy finance team. You will own transactional finance, month-end accounting, management accounts and cash flow across two group companies, reporting to the Finance Manager.

The role offers a varied workload, close collaboration with operational teams, and opportunities to improve reporting and controls as part of a supportive finance function.

Qualifications

• Experience in finance or accounting role handling transactional and month-end tasks.
• Sound understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with sales and purchase ledgers, accruals, prepayments and fixed assets.

Responsibilities

• Manage sales and purchase ledgers across two companies.
• Process and reconcile invoices, credit notes and payments.
• Raise customer invoices and monitor debt collection.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and prepare accruals/prepayments schedules.
• Assist with WIP reporting and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting schedules.
• Produce overhead cost and variance reports.
• Monitor and report on cash flow.
