Job summary

Confidential in Middlesbrough is seeking an experienced Finance Coordinator on a part-time, permanent basis to strengthen the finance team. The role covers transactional finance, month-end accounting, management accounts and cash flow across two group companies.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will manage sales and purchase ledgers, raise invoices, monitor debt, maintain fixed asset registers and prepare accruals and prepayments, and assist with monthly management accounts.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage your own workload.
• Experience with transactional and month-end accounting.
• Experience with sales ledger, purchase ledger, accruals, prepayments and fixed assets.
• Understanding of management accounts and cash flow management.

Responsibilities

• Manage sales and purchase ledger functions across two companies.
• Process and reconcile invoices, credit notes and payments.
• Raise customer invoices and monitor debt collection.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and prepare accruals/prepayments schedules.
• Assist with WIP reporting and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting schedules.
• Produce overhead cost and variance reports.
• Monitor and report on cash flow.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support month-end and year-end processes.
• Provide financial information and analysis to support decision-making.
• Liaise with operational teams and support external auditors and accountants.
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and reporting.
