Job summary

Bath and North East Somerset Council is seeking an Extra Care Support Worker based at Greenacres Court in Midsomer Norton on a permanent part-time contract. This role is 19 hours per week with a rota including early shifts (7:30am) and late shifts (21:30pm) and working every other weekend; enhanced pay applies to weekends, nights and bank holidays.

• Previous experience of working in care would be an advantage, but a commitment to deliver quality care is essential and full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist tenants with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing
• Promote tenant’s independence, choice, dignity, and respect by delivering the best standards of care
• Adhere to and complete accurate and timely records of the care and support provided to tenants
• Providing support to access third party and NHS services
• Be a strong team player and work on own initiative when needed
• Promote lifestyle choice, offering individuals the opportunity and motivation to retain independence and stay in control of their lives.
