Job summary

Bath and North East Somerset Council is seeking an Extra Care Support Worker based in Greenacres Court, Midsomer Norton. This part-time, permanent role offers a 19-hour weekly rota including early shifts at 7.30am and late shifts, with every other weekend and paid enhancements for bank holidays.

Responsibilities include assisting tenants with personal care, promoting independence and dignity, and maintaining accurate care records while supporting access to NHS services. DBS check required.

Qualifications

• Experience in care is an advantage but not essential.
• Commitment to delivering quality care with training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist tenants with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing
• Promote tenant independence, dignity, and respect by delivering high standards of care
• Adhere to and complete accurate and timely records of the care and support provided to tenants
• Provide support to access third party and NHS services
• Be a strong team player and work on own initiative when needed
• Promote lifestyle choice, offering individuals the opportunity to retain independence
