Job summary

Braintree District Council is seeking an experienced Estates Surveyor to manage a portfolio of commercial and corporate properties, maximise value, and lead on landlord and tenant negotiations. The role requires travel around the Braintree District and may involve site visits.

The ideal candidate will have extensive estates management experience, a professional membership such as RICS, and strong IT and relationship-building skills.

Qualifications

• Several years of estates management experience on commercial and corporate property portfolios, public sector experience preferred.
• Membership of RICS or working towards this professional accreditation is desirable.
• Experience in landlord and tenant negotiations and lease transactions.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for estate management of allocated commercial and corporate properties to maximise value for the Council.
• Advise colleagues on estates actions and support service objectives with accurate records and invoicing.
